Product variants

For dyeing cotton, wool, silk, linen, viscose, bamboo and polyamide (Nylon) and many other materials.*
Suitable for machine washing or hand dyeing. Add salt and possibly vinegar (for wool, nylon and silk).
Experiment by applying it to different surfaces such as wood, leather, upholstery and more.
1 sachet of 10 g dyes 250 g of dry matter; when using smaller quantities the final color will be lighter.
1 bottle (225 ml) dyes 1 kg of dry fabric, so ideal for multiple dyeing sessions or for very voluminous fabrics such as sheets, sofa covers or curtains.

* Not suitable for polyester, certain types of acrylic and fabrics that have undergone a water-repellent or stain-resistant treatment.

Is it better to dye by hand or in the washing machine?

Our dyes are formulated for both uses, however, if possible, it is always preferable to dye by hand for a greater guarantee of success. Especially in the case of delicate, expensive garments, or those that you particularly care about, hand-dyeing is strongly recommended to have more control over the whole process and to lengthen the soaking time for a full, stain-free colour.

Can I cover bleach stains?

To try to correct this type of stain, the first step is to dissolve a pinch of dye in 100ml of water and add a little salt and vinegar if necessary. You can then try to dye the stain with the help of a cotton bud.

It is difficult to find the perfect colour among so many options, but you can start with a light shade and then if necessary darken it, warm it up or cool it down.

Ik heb de kleur gebruikt op een witte katoenen jurk, en nadat deze uit de wasmachine kwam, had 'ie de kleur van een fluogele markeerstift. Zeker niet de look waar ik voor ging, dus dat was een enorme tegenvaller.

Bedankt voor uw antwoord. Een wasprogramma van 30 graden was niet heet genoeg voor het katoen om de kleurstof volledig op te nemen. Daarom had je zo'n bleek resultaat.

I dyed an 82% cotton skirt, it was very light green. I bought the pistachio green and olive green dye and it was perfect. It's more pistachio green, it wasn't quite the darkest dark green but I love it, it's 10. I hand dyed it in a bucket of very very very very hot water (not boiling) and stirred for about 40-50 minutes. Then I used the Fiske.

Excellent colour, incorrect instructions

The colour is very good, the shipment arrived on time. However, I had to dye it twice, because following the instructions provided by the seller did not give me a good result (uneven colour and colour stains). On the back of the dye packet I found a qrcode, which directed me directly to the manufacturer's page (which is not aybel) and there I found much more detailed and complete instructions. Fortunately, I had bought two sachets and tried to re-tint the same evening, following the manufacturer's instructions, and the result was excellent. Comparing the two instructions, I realised that the ones that came home from aybel were missing some basic steps (teaspoon of dishwashing liquid in the dye bath, water at 60 degrees, stirring CONTINUOUSLY for the first 10 min, etc). Overall, I would repurchase this product, following the instructions on the back of the label instead of the seller's leaflet.
